The Perfect Green Juice

This is my go-to juice and our most requested café juice. It’s aromatic, yummy and makes your body smile. Its benefits are felt immediately — refreshing, filling, nourishing and pretty much a salad in a glass. It’s an easy way to absorb a ton of nutrition and give your body a break from working so hard to digest. The enzymes in the juice do the trick. Fresh organic juice is literally a kiss to your body, mind and spirit. A great reset for any day.
Ingredients:
- 2 apples
- 3-4 leaves of kale with spine
- Handful of cilantro and parsley (or choose your favorite, mine is cilantro for the spice and aroma, but I put parsley for the extra nutrients)
- 1 or 2 stalks of celery (don’t add too much it waters it down)
- 1/2 of a small cucumber unpeeled
- 1/2 lemon with rind
- Thumb size of ginger (more or less to taste)

Directions:
- Use as much organic produce as possible for added impact and health benefits
- Wash all ingredients well, especially anything with skin or rind
- Cut ingredients to the size of the opening of your juicer
- The trick is to alternate each ingredient till you reach the desired amount in your glass (think layering) — this ensures a balance of flavor where no one particular ingredient dominates. This trick really works. This is why I call it the “perfect juice”
